September 18... will be a major pick day to prep our sauce for the luncheon...call to join us...472-5923 August/2009: We are ready to harvest. Join us for picking (usually Saturday AM)...call to set up community pick time. We will sell on Sunday/after church service at coffee hour...(10:30 AM) Funds raised will be dedicated to the hungry. July 11...Saturday (9-3)...Our Mission Garden was one of the stops on the Bedford Women's Club Garden Tour. May/June 2009: We have a tomato "Mission Garden" to help " GET REAL HUNGER ELIMINATED" !!! Our Mission Garden is about offering seeds of encouragement and hope...for everybody. It's about community...as we can all help out and join the project. It's about outreach as we extend ourselves, seeing growth from seed to harvest. Located at the Bedford Presbyterian Church, 4 Church Rd , Bedford, NH 03110 April/2009: We're building community energy on our initiatives...Now we are taking our
Yogurt connection a little further to start collecting yogurt
containers (as an ongoing project)...cup or 16 oz...if you have a group of cleaned containers
you'd like us to put back into use through the recycling process contact us for the drop zones.
February/2009: Save your flip-top rings off your soda cans. We're collecting...bring them every time we meet!
December/2008: Thank you for your help collecting Stonyfield labels...The award for the playground grant went to a Maine group.
October/2008: We would like to thank the community for their support of our BARN SALE BLASTOFF in Bedford over Columbus Day Weekend. Special thanks to Sheri Wilding-White, Harvest Market, Sunlite Realty-Pelham, Prestige Auto Body, Brenda Godin, Jane Beaulieu of Logo Loc, the Koeppl and Bailey families and the numerous friends and members for making it happen. Through innovation, education and participation, we hope to encourage works for environmental and humanitarian causes, working towards a healthier planet.
October/2008: Vanessa Rodanas, co-founder of the organization with her brother Rex,
presented a Thousand Dollar Honorarium to Families in Transition, a
leading southern N.H. charity, at their sold out Annual Fashion Show on
October 2. The honorarium recognizes the GET REAL students' dedication
to reduce hunger and poverty in the local community.
